Dr Makielen is a highly trained and internationally experienced psychiatrist with more than 15 years of experience in psychiatry who is passionate about working collaboratively with her patients. She promotes an open-minded and safe space, and tailors her psychotherapy to your individual needs. Her personable nature lets her get to know you at a deeper level and become truly invested in your future.
She works with adults in one-on-one or couple sessions, and is also available for families in need of child or adolescent psychiatric services. You can also find Dr Makielen at Dolphin Tribe – a child, adolescent and perinatal psychiatric clinic in Hills District.

Dr Makielan also offers mentoring and clinical supervision for psychiatry registrars and early-career psychiatrists.
Training and Qualifications
Dr Sangeetha Makielan completed her postgraduate foundation medical training in the United Kingdom before training at the Maudsley in London, UK – the world’s oldest psychiatry institution.
